These are the quotes that I hope will inspire you, touch you, and make you appreciate Euphoria even more. So, without further ado, let’s get started!

"I'm Just Saying Love Is A Million Things."

  • Maddy Perez — "'03 Bonnie and Clyde" Season 1, Episode 5

"I'm Just Saying Love Is A Million Things."

The relationship between Nate and Maddy is easily the most unhealthy relationship on the show, giving audiences some of the most toxic trance quotes, as they spend their time freaking out with each other and it proves to be physically and verbally abusive. Maddie was even held at gunpoint by Nate and was still professing her love for him while he held the gun to her head.

Maddie struggles to identify what healthy love is like due to her relationship with Nate, and quarrels with her mother about her relationship with Nate in Season 1, Episode 5. Her cycle of abuse leads her to believe that love has to be "dark" to be passionate. For her, love is a million things. It's anger, apologies, physical violence, passionate sex, love bombings, and vicious insults.

"It Wasn't The Violence That Scared Her. It Was The Fact That She Knew No Matter What He Did, She'd Still Love Him."

  • Rue Bennett — "'03 Bonnie and Clyde" Season 1, Episode 5

"It Wasn't The Violence That Scared Her. It Was The Fact That She Knew No Matter What He Did, She'd Still Love Him."

Despite the mistakes that may have been made, Maddie is one of the most popular characters on Euphoria and has some of the best trance quotes. She initially appears as the typical pretty and arrogant girl who dates the school's soccer captain, but her personality is more complex than that. Her boyfriend, Nate, is abusive and bossy, and it's frustrating to watch Maddie struggle with him in both seasons.

However, the saddest part is knowing what Maddie realizes when Nate crosses the line. She gets that he's not right for her, but she also knows that, for some reason, she loves him too much to leave him. Sadly, this was just the beginning of her flirtation with Nate, and soon she'd find out how far he'd go to scare her.

"I Feel Like Love Is Super Dark And No One Ever Talks About It."

  • Cassie Howard — "And Salt the Earth Behind You" Season 1, Episode 8

"I Feel Like Love Is Super Dark And No One Ever Talks About It."

Cassie seemed to see her future when she said one of the best euphoria quotes of season one. She thought love was dark with McKay, but she has no idea what's in store with Nate Jacobs in her shocking second season.

This quote also eerily mimics something Maddie says at the bowling alley with Jules when they are discussing Kat and Ethan's relationship. Maddy assumes that passionate love needs to be "dark", which is what she misses in Nate. Unfortunately for the two girls, Nate's kind of darkness is physical violence and emotional manipulation.

"And Unless You're Amish, Nudes Are The Currency Of Love. So Stop Shaming Us."

  • Rue Bennett — "Pilot" Season 1, Episode 1

"And Unless You're Amish, Nudes Are The Currency Of Love. So Stop Shaming Us."

There are countless shows about teens, but Euphoria is by far one of the most accurate in its representation of teens. Not only does it get the slang right, but it also accurately portrays the way relationships and romance are generated, resulting in some of the best euphoria quotes. As high school students in 2019, the characters are part of Generation Z - a generation that is more sexualized than any other, because of the internet.

Jules, typical of her generation, not only goes on a dating app to find a guy to date but also connects with that guy by exchanging nudes. Rowe, as the narrator, says this line to the audience, which is a great way of emphasizing that they shouldn't feel disgraced because of this.

"Even Though You Know You're Depressed, You're Unable To Stop Yourself From Getting Worse."

  • Rue Bennett — "The Trials and Tribulations of Trying to Pee While Depressed" Season 1, Episode 7

"Even Though You Know You're Depressed, You're Unable To Stop Yourself From Getting Worse."

Street often falls into bouts of depression, which leads to some poignant euphoric quotes about mental health. And when she does, she has no idea how to deal with it, which is part of the reason she turns to drugs. There's an entire episode dedicated to Rue recounting her depressive episode, and the way she talks about depression is refreshing yet tragically accurate.

She talks about how slow and gradual the process is, and how one can feel like sinking deeper and deeper, but it's impossible to get out of it. The entire monologue serves as a metaphor for Rowe's addiction. She feels herself - especially in the second season - getting deeper until she completely loses control of her life.

"Maybe People Are Nostalgic About High School Cause It's, Like, The Last Time In Their Life That They Get To Dream."

  • Cassie Howard — "And Salt the Earth Behind You" Season 1, Episode 8

"Maybe People Are Nostalgic About High School Cause It's, Like, The Last Time In Their Life That They Get To Dream."

Euphoria may focus on mental illness, but it combines those themes with the trials and tribulations of high school students and turns out some truly relatable trance quotes. Whether it's personal drama between their friends or tension around school, the audience needs to remember that they're still teenagers, despite their mature activity.

Cassie, in particular, from Daydreamer. In Season 2, she completely made a fool of herself about Nate, her relationship, and the morality of her actions. She dreams of Nate being the absolute man of her dreams, completely unaware of what a monster he is and how little he cares about her.

"You Fell In Love With Someone Who Spent Years Making Fun Of You. It's Sad."

  • Lexi Howard — "A Thousand Little Trees of Blood" Season 2, Episode 6

"You Fell In Love With Someone Who Spent Years Making Fun Of You. It's Sad."

Lexi is usually soft-spoken and shy, so her reality check to Cassie in Episode 6 was long overdue, and one of the best euphoria quotes from the usually quiet character. Both Lexi and her mother, Suze, gave no slack in the situation between Cassie, Maddy, and Nate, which was greatly appreciated by viewers.

Lexi has entered a new era in her life. She was unapologetically herself, and many Redditors rightly speculated that her play would reveal secrets within the group of friends she'd kept for so long. This moment of Lexie standing up to Cassie is just one of many to come.

"And Although She Had Never Been In A Relationship, Or Even In, Like, Love, She Imagined Spending The Rest Of Her Life With Her."

  • Rue Bennett — "Pilot" Season 1, Episode 1

"And Although She Had Never Been In A Relationship, Or Even In, Like, Love, She Imagined Spending The Rest Of Her Life With Her."

Roux's first encounter with Jules is unique: she decides to talk to her after Jules has a bloody outburst at a party, and the two impulsively decide to go back to Roux's place and hang out there. Their cross-meeting resulted in some of the best ecstatic quotes about love.

Rue sits on the back of Jules' bike, her arm wrapped around her waist, a sweet image that symbolizes the beginning of a meaningful relationship. For Rowe, it is love at first sight, which she confesses to the viewer. While Rowe's feelings may be sincere and simple, her relationship with Jules is very complicated for the rest of the two seasons.

"Everybody Gets Their Feelings, Hurt. Some People Need To Get Their Feelings Hurt Sometimes."

  • Fezco — "A Thousand Little Trees of Blood" Season 2, Episode 6

"Everybody Gets Their Feelings, Hurt. Some People Need To Get Their Feelings Hurt Sometimes."

Fez and Lexi had some of the cutest moments in Season 2 Episode 6, giving audiences a bunch of adorable euphoria quotes from the unexpected pairing. While they were hanging out and getting to know each other, Lexie opened up and admitted that she didn't know if staging her play was the best idea, to which Fez replied with this quote.

This quote applies to many of the characters in the show, specifically, in addition to being true in everyday life. Sometimes, people need to face reality and this will hurt their feelings, but help them in the long run. Roo had to face the truth of her actions and Cassie was desperate for a heavy dose of reality, which will no doubt hurt her feelings, but hopefully, some sense in her head.

"You've Got To Believe In The Poetry Because Everything Else In Your Life Will Fail You. Even Yourself."

  • Ali — "Part One: Rue" Euphoria Special Episode

"You've Got To Believe In The Poetry Because Everything Else In Your Life Will Fail You. Even Yourself."

Ali has plenty of wise words for Rue, and arguably some of the wisest euphoria quotes overall, especially in the very moving special episode. For a scene to be one continuous place and the same cast, the dialogue would have to be very strong. This is certainly the case in the conversation between Rowe and Ali at dinner.

On the surface, Ali looks like all his AA cliches come to life, but when he listens to him, he reveals the kind of mindset that makes recovery possible. He sees the bigger picture of life and knows that addicts need something bigger than themselves to focus on in recovery, like the poetry of the world and life. It is the kind of constant that Rue needs.

"Every Time I Feel Good, I Think It'll Last Forever, But It Doesn't."

  • Rue Bennett — "Pilot" Season 1, Episode 1

"Every Time I Feel Good, I Think It'll Last Forever, But It Doesn't."

Of all of Euphoria's quotes, this sums up the show perfectly. All the characters face different obstacles and fleeting moments of happiness, big or small. Roe is the best example of this: just as drugs have highs and lows, her relationship with Jules sometimes makes her the happiest they've ever been, and other times it makes her feel sad and betrayed.

She's learning the hard way that good things don't last. As each character chases happiness, like Cassie stalking Nate's attention, Kat trying to find self-love, and Lexie yearning to express her true feelings, each character hits one roadblock after another, realistic drama at its best.
