Loki's second season set of photos reveals Sylvie's returning Asgardian Shield
The new set of Loki Season 2 photos reveals the return of Sophia Di Martino's selfie, dressed as the Asgardian she wore in her first MCU appearance in Season 1.
New Loki Season 2 set photos reveal Sylvie (Sofia Di Martino) wearing what appears to be the same Asgardian-style armor she wore in Season 1 of Loki. Authority (TVA), is a bureaucratic organization that exists to monitor the sacred schedule. Eventually, in collaboration with TVA analyst Moebius M. Moebius (Owen Wilson), the titular character Tom Hiddleston sets out to capture a dangerous version of himself, and Sylvie is soon revealed.
After she is captured and her schedule reset by TVA for causing the Nexus event, Sylvie escapes across different timelines, seeking revenge against her former captors. Once they are captured by Loki, the two form an alliance, and their journey eventually leads them to the character behind the guise of TVA: He Who Remains (Jonathan Majors). However, Sylvie kills TVA's mastermind, freeing up the schedule and causing Loki's Season 1 cliffhanger, as Mobius and Hunter B-15 (Wunmi Mosaku) suddenly don't remember Loki, and the He Who Remains variant seems to rule everything.
Now, new photos have emerged from the second season of Loki, showing Sylvie in what appears to be her original Asgardian costume. Shared by Twitter users @varianart_ and mrzelcas, some photos show De Martino at the same Asgardian pinnacle from her MCU debut in Season 1, although there is some damage to her. Showcase the last of Di Martino and Hiddleston's characters together at McDonald's, and Loki's variant appears to be wearing a bathrobe over her armor. Take a look below:

As filming for the second season of Loki begins in June, the specific images first surfaced last month. These new photos back up what's already been teased, as our first behind-the-scenes look revealed Loki and Sylvie together and at McDonald's in what appeared to be the '70s. While Loki is dressed in a traditional TVA costume, Sylvie is shown leaving the fast food restaurant in a McDonald's uniform. Having taken on a new job, season two of Loki was supposed to see Sylvie return to a "normal" life, free from the chaos she fell into during the series' first season. However, these new photos of her armor selfies indicate that civilian life is not her destiny.
The fact that Sylvie will be wearing her signature suit in Loki season 2 means that she remembers Loki, unlike Morbius and Hunter B-15. Furthermore, based on this armor, the audience would likely see more of Sylvie in action, showing off her magical powers. Even more interesting is why Di Martino's selfie appeared in a bathrobe - although it's possible that the actress only wore it in between. In any case, it will be interesting to discover the full scope of what Sylvie was about to do and prepare for in Season 2 of Loki, which is set to premiere at Disney+ in the summer of 2023.
