Set during the early Middle Ages, the epic series spans several decades and chronicles one of the most turbulent periods in British history: the Viking conquest of the country's Anglo-Saxon kingdoms.
Since its debut in 2015, The Last Kingdom has been praised for its stunning cinematography, richly drawn characters, and epic battle scenes.
