Ms. Marvel Trailer Reveals More of Kamala's Cosmic Powers

The new Ms. Marvel trailer shows more of her cosmic powers. Ms. Marvel will be the second series from the Disney + Marvel Cinematic Universe to introduce a new main hero after Moon Knight, which premiered recently on the streaming platform. It will premiere a little over a month after Moon Knight (which will be the same week that Doctor Strange premiered in Multiverse of Madness, the first MCU movie of 2022), on June 8, 2022. After the character is introduced, it is also slated To collaborate with Captain Marvel on her sequel to 2023 The Marvels directed by Nia DaCosta.

Mrs. Marvel is the superhero mantle worn by teenage Kamala Khan who often dreams of being a superhero. She is given the chance to live out her dreams (and often realize the reality of a nightmare) when she discovers a magical prop that allows her to channel cosmic energy. Kamala was played by newcomer Iman Vilani, and the rest of the cast was filled in by Aramis Knight, Sagar Sheikh, Rish Shah, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapoor, and Matt Lintz as Kamala's best friend Bruno Kareli.

Marvel Studios has shared a new Ms. Marvel venue. Although the clip is only 30 seconds long, it contains new footage that shows Kamala's newly discovered cosmic powers. Although the clips are only brief glimpses of her using her power, Kamala can be seen using her cosmic gifts to shut her bedroom door on her sneaky father, leap mid-air away from the cosmic platforms, and run at full speed at twenty feet off the ground. Reflected in skyscraper windows. Check out the video below:

The comic book version of Kamala Khan gets its powers because it possesses the inhuman gene rather than through an outside source. This change in the background has led to several theories about how these boosters came about and how they relate to the MCU in general. They are aesthetically similar to the Ten Rings used by new Phase 4 hero Shang-Chi, although there is also a possibility that they may have resulted from technology brought to Earth by the Eternals, in particular, the Phaistos Tech Wizard played by Brian Tyree Henry.

Mrs. Marvel's marketing material avoided revealing much about the extent of the new hero's powers or what the show is all about. The series explores Kamala's teenage life and obsession with superheroes, but other than that, it's still unclear how she gets her power and who she'll face in the upcoming series. Most likely, this is because they want the audience to find out about the powers of Kamala and all the other twists along with the character. Given the ways Ms. Marvel has already strayed from the comics, there will likely be plenty of surprises in store when the show finally starts this summer.
