DCEU 2022: New Trailer Reveals a Footage Of 4 DC Movies

A brand new DC trailer has been released ahead of Super Bowl LVI, showing footage from The Flash, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, The Batman, and Black Adam. Warner Bros. had a slow superhero year in 2021, only rolling out James Gunn's The Suicide Squad which was also simultaneously dropped on HBO Max. In 2022, however, it's ramping up its blockbuster production with five highly-anticipated flicks on the docket.

DC will open in 2022 with the much-anticipated The Batman movie, which hits theaters on March 4. Directed by Matt Reeves, it will introduce Robert Pattinson as the next Batman after Ben Affleck leaves the franchise. This will be followed by the animated movie, League of Super-Pets in DC on May 20. From there, three DCEU films will be shown in theaters. The long-delayed Dwayne Johnson will see its debut for the Justice Society of America, and Ezra Miller's The Flash will also bring back Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck's versions of Batman, Jason Momoa's Aquaman and, The Lost Kingdom caps of the year. DC fans have a lot to get excited about, and for those who couldn't wait any longer for these projects, a new trailer has been released that introduces them to fresh footage from these blockbuster movies.

As Johnson promised, a new promo clip has been shared from DC to get the audience excited about what Warner Bros. has in store. For comic book fans. Check out the video below:

Aside from The Batman, all of these live-action movies are in DCEU. After Affleck left the franchise, Reeves decided to reboot the character and offer a smaller version of the Caped Crusader. Despite this, there is still a good chance that Pattinson's The Dark Knight will interact with characters from the main Warner Bros./DC series thanks to the burgeoning multiverse. The Flash delves into this idea, and as Batman Keaton mentions in the trailer, Barry Allen chooses a specific save timeline, which means there are many other things present within the multiverse. Black Adam, Aquaman, and the Lost Kingdom may not have anything to do with this new concept, but their respective stories are interesting in their own right.

Looking at the bigger picture, Warner Bros. has A variety of films for its viewers in 2022 such as The Flash, Aquaman, Lost Kingdom, The Batman, and Black Adam. This is its biggest advantage against Marvel Studios as all three MCU films are sequels. With more variations on their shows, DC could appeal to a wider audience. Regardless, the fact that they're bringing Keaton back as Batman could tempt older fans of the Dark Knight who haven't kept tabs on the DCEU.
