Legacies may be a spin-off of The Vampire Diaries and the Originals. The show centers around Hope Mikaelson, daughter of Klaus and Hayley. The show also features Matt Davis who reprises his role as Alaric Saltzman from TVD. The show’s story begins two years after the events of Originals, it follows Hope Mikaelson who attends the Salvatore School. The Salvatore School for the Young and Gifted provides a shelter to the Supernatural beings who can learn to regulate their impulses and skills.

Then we've Landon Kirby who is a Phoenix. he's an old acquaintance of Hope and foster brother of Rafael. Josie Saltzman may be a witch and daughter of Alaric. Unlike her sister, she lacks self-worth. Her twin sister Lizzie Saltzman exerts confidence and is narcissistic. Another familiar face from TVD is Alaric Saltzman, father of Lizzie and Josie. he's the human headmaster of the Salvatore School. Rafael Waithe, Landon’s foster brother, and a recently triggered werewolf. He suffered an abusive childhood and has become a student at the varsity.
